The Persian Gulf is one of the world's leading oil producing areas. And the sea route from the Persian Gulf to Indian Ocean through the Strait of Hormuz is called the "tanker sea lane". It is the main artery of the world energy transportation. Therefore, it is very important to ensure the safety of sea lanes for the United States.
