There remained one big problem. It was the
sovereignty of Jerusalem and its surrounding area. For the Jews, it was their homeland
promised by Yahweh, the supreme existence. They were expelled from Jerusalem
against their will two thousand years ago. It was called "Diaspora". The
British government promised to rebuild the Jewish homeland in exchange for financial
assistance for the war against Germany.
U.K. promised to Jews and Arabs respectively.
But its promises entirely contradicted each other. The result came out after
World War I. Jews and Arabs launched independence movements. The disorder took
place in the whole area of Jerusalem.
