However, the ambassador ordered Shy-Rock to attend
parties and actively communicate with U.S. citizens. Nobody in the United States didn’t want
to know how Israel could win overwhelmingly in the Six Day War and how the
Israeli Air Force performed a key role. A rumor spread rapidly among the
diplomatic corps in Washington, lawmakers, and Jews living in the United States
that the newly assigned military attaché played the major role in that war.
The Ambassador had received many requests to share
the true story from new military attaché. He decided to make the guy a
"walking billboard". Ambassador called Shy-Rock to his office as soon
as he took up his new post and told him.
