Chapter 45 Inner enemy of Jewish state (1) Palestinians

In any war, the expansion of territory meant the
victory. Many Palestine Arabs were lived in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip for
several hundreds of years. Some of Palestinians escaped the war and became
refugees in neighboring countries such as Jordan and Lebanon. Some of them migrated
to Gulf countries like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, where oil boom begun to burst.
However, many of Palestinians did not leave the
homeland. They held their breath and waited for the fire to pass overhead. Through
its post-war occupation period, Israel held a large number of Palestinian Arabs
within its territory.
Usually, Arabs got many children. Population
growth of Palestinian Arab outstripped that of Jews. The population balance between
Jews and Arabs in Israel began to tip slightly in favor of the Arabs.
