In order to restore the population balance, Israel called on all the Jews in the world to migrate to Israel. The Israeli government sought out people from all over the world who were recognized to have a trace of Jewish blood. Israel made every effort to invite the foreign Jews.

 

Jews in the developed Western countries did not emigrate to Israel at the expense of their current affluent lifestyle. Only young and religious American-born Jews rushed to the kibbutz, intentional community, driven by religious euphoria. But the number of migrants was not so many. They never affected the balance between the Jews and Arabs.
