Of course, she was enough wise not to forget
the role of a virtuous and modest wife who obeyed her husband in public. In a
military organization which requested absolute obedience, it was appreciated
for wives to show an attitude of submission to their husband.
At the meeting of the wives of the officer's
club, the order of the husband became automatically the order of the wife. The
higher the rank of the husband, the stronger the position of the wife.
Therefore, her husband had to be promoted at all costs. Anat's purpose in life
was to make her husband an airforce general like her father. This strategy had
worked well since her marriage.
