Chapter 56 Devil’s invention (4) Survival and
Defeat of "Species" (3/3)
Innumerable lives had been born and died on the
earth. The history of lives on the earth was a history of ups and downs and the
inevitable death of the living. Lives that once flourished in a certain area were
dying out. In the modern world, people designated several lives as "endangered
species" and tried to keep the declining lives.
There were several reasons for the extinction
of species. For example, the sudden extinction of dinosaurs was caused by
planetary collisions resulting climatic changes. And the gradual extinction of
dinosaurs was taken place by gradual and periodical climatic changes between
ice ages and interglacial periods.
In addition, there were cases in which the
indigenous species died out when the alien species invaded into. And the most
barbaric case would be the extinction of specific flora and fauna due to
overhunting by humans. All of these cases took place when the species were
destroyed by an overwhelming external force.
