The inoculation was carried out very smoothly. The Jews were reassured that the military hospital was in charge of inoculation. The Palestinians obeyed the instruction of officers tamely because they knew what would happen if they defied the military.

 

A few days after being vaccinated, more than a few people rushed to the hospital when their fevers did not subside. Most of them were Palestinian young women and girls. In the case of Jews, some percentage of the women visited for consultation, but most of the inhabitant had no symptoms of fever.

 

Dr. Jirgo read the report and grinned. The result of the inoculation was just as he expected. All that was left was the inspection of reproductive organ of young Palestinian women and girls.
